Contact state elected officials to save NJ Historic Trust
Preservation New Jersey, as part of the Keep it Green campaign, urges those who value, and who benefit from, the vital grant funding from the New Jersey Historic Trust to contact their legislators and the Governor in support of the pending bills – A3901/S1858. You’ll be urging legislators and the Governor to put a $600 million bond measure on the ballot enabling voters to renew the Garden State Preservation Trust to invest in historic preservation and open space over the next three years. Legislators’ deadline to act is effectively June 30. Without renewed funding, the Trust won’t be able to help the state, local, municipal and non-profit groups to acquire and protect open space, wildlife habitat, parks, farmland and preserve and restore historic treasures.
Remember, the bills are heading to the Budget & Appropriations committees, so we must generate a groundswell of support now.
