NJ students deserve Better Schools than what SDA offers them

September 4, 2009

The NJ School Development Authority (SDA) is bullying communities like Trenton and Camden into accepting second rate, cookie cutter “new” schools, claiming both “cost savings” and “state-of-the-art” facilities in a new building that cannot, they say, be provided by a renovated, modernized and restored historic school.

Princeton_High_Schol_webIsn’t it interesting that Princeton High School was fully renovated and modernized and the kids of that community get to go to school every day in a beautiful building that is “a learning tool itself – illustrating its role in history, demonstrating old style craftsmanship and detailing, and imparting awareness and appreciation for all of the various types of structures that make up the fabric of a community.” (quote thanks to Vern McKissick, talented school architect in Pennsylvania)

Look what the kids in Monroe Township are going to be housed in every day.
