Candidates for NJ Governor reveal views on preservation issues

September 16, 2009

Recently, Preservation New Jersey asked the three major candidates for Governor to tell us their views on a series of Historic Preservation issues.  Each candidate was sent the identical ten questions, which included queries about incentives, funding, historic preservation and sustainability, affordable housing, and their personal views about historic places.  The campaigns were asked to provide responses by Sept. 1, 2009.  Gov. Jon Corzine and Chris Christie sent responses, which are posted, verbatim, on the PNJ website.  We’d like to hear your views of the candidates’ positions; please offer your comments here.
