PNJ salutes Visionaries, Building Industry colleagues at Annual Gala

October 2, 2009

Many thanks to the Sponsors and attendees at last night’s 10th annual Preservation Gala, PNJ’s salute to contributors to historic preservation in New Jersey.   The Pleasantdale Chateau in West Orange was  absolutely spectacular; our thanks and kudos to the Knowles Family, who are outstanding stewards of that remarkable landmark.

More than 150 friends and supporters were welcomed by West Orange Mayor and Assemblyman John McKeon, and enjoyed terrific food, convivial libations, a silent and live auction with nifty items and the annual PNJ awards, given to individuals and organizations that have made lasting contributions to the work we care about.

Our special thanks to PNJ Board member and extremely generous 2009 Gala Chairman Lawrence Plevy of Schtiller & Plevy, without whose support, encouragement, ideas and energy the Gala would simply not have come off with hardly a hitch.  Thanks Larry!  Great volunteers and the outstanding PNJ staff wrangled auction items and dinner guests; thanks to all of them, too.

Our sponsors made the whole evening possible, and have contributed greatly to the ongoing work of Preservation NJ, the only statewide nonprofit historic preservation education and advocacy group in New Jersey!
