PNJ members to get behind-the-scenes tour of “Green” rehab at Trenton Masonic Temple

December 30, 2009

Preservation New Jersey hosts a Members-Only behind the scenes tour of the newly completed architectural offices of Clarke Caton Hintz (CCH) at the historic Trenton Masonic Temple on Thursday, January 14, 5 – 6 p.m . Restoration of the landmark Temple at 100 Barrack Street has been ongoing for several years, thanks in part to grants from the NJ Historic Trust.

Now CCH, at the firm’s expense, has transformed the never-completed third floor into a spectacular, state-of-the-art office that will meet LEED standards for sustainable design and development. Meet the designers, consultants and contractors responsible for this excellent example of historic rehabilitation that recycles a landmark.  Check out the materials, designs and techniques that improve its environmental performance.
